St Gabriel’s structural model is an unusual one, the school’s intake stretches from 6 months to 18 years old, but only takes boys to the age of 11. This is naturally a very difficult message to explain with the making of one film. We, therefore, decided to approach this project by separating the film into two parts. The first to showcase the provision of the nursery school, Sandleford and the St Gabriel’s Junior School. The second was to solely emphasise the characteristics of the senior school.
Despite its structural strangeness, we wanted this promotional film to represent the warm and endearing atmosphere that the school possesses and ensure that its true character and quirkiness shines through. Its friendliness and relaxed attitude is unlike most schools in that area, we felt that it was, therefore, important for us to differentiate the school within its local market.
