Affixxius were commissioned by the Cambridge Building Society to produce a beautiful and emotional promotional video campaign that properly showcased the benefits of their mortgage services in a diverse but practical manner. The client wanted the audience to personally connect with the visuals on screen and properly feel associated with the setting laid out by the theme and message of the piece.
Our team came up with the full creative concept that was developed as a broader campaign and rolled out across all other platforms. We also collaborated with the renowned creative agency mobas who were in charge of managing the print and general brand guidelines.
Led by our vastly experienced Creative Director Dave Whayman, the project was based on a family moving out of their home and upscaling thanks to a solid mortgage package provided by the Cambridge Building Society. The concept needed to speak to first time buyers as well as people further down the property ladder, to follow a specific visual direction and underlining tone, we spent a significant amount of time considering things like the correct colour pallets and voice over which needed to be warm with a strong sense of the 'Cambridge' brand.
Casting was also an important consideration, our Senior Producer Ryan Moore was instrumental in sourcing the right actors and actresses to play our young family to match the storyline of the advertising campaign which centred on the amount of choices a prospective homeowner must make before deciding to move on to something better.
The entirety of the production took roughly 3 days to shoot and our crew were sure to involve the clients Cambridge and our creative collaborators mobas in the process as much as possible. In an effort to create one seamless unit steering the project forward, we were sure to keep the motif and scenery of the filming consistent throughout the production. The results were very clearly a success thanks to some amazing grading and editing work from our in-house post-production team.
The finished promotional video will be aired using the Sky AdSmart platform which continues to strengthen our ever-growing partnership with Sky and the packages they offer for localised and targeted television advertising campaigns.
All together working alongside the Cambridge building society for this project was an absolute pleasure. They had clear objectives from the word go with a well thought out roll out plan. They advert is surely going to be a huge success and we at Affixxius look forward to working alongside them in the near future.
