Here at Affixxius films, we’ve been a little bit spoilt with such a great start to 2017. Not only did we get awards from our Kayleigh’s Love Story video, we’ve also had a whole host of our video launches being increasingly popular. Only this week did we release our video collaboration with the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, a piece that has been so popular it is now edging more and more towards the 100k view mark.
First and foremost this video needed to portray the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue's key message - that ultimately anyone would be welcome to join the team. The video also needed to show that it isn't a stereotypical role, that people you perhaps wouldn’t necessarily associate in the fire service are already a big part of it. We kept this shoot as genuine as possible by using only real firefighter men and women, all elements were telling the story of what they actually have to do to on a day-to-day basis.
As the video was going out very soon after it was made, the distribution team got straight to work on creating the launch strategy. Using classic PR and marketing techniques alongside new digital methods, the video went onto all social platforms with the key message, aspirational to inspirational. To our delight, the response was positive from the get-go! With the video getting liked, loved and shared almost immediately, it was clearly quite a success. There was a lot of commenting from all walks of life; current firefighters, friends of firefighters and those who were simply inspired by what they saw, also many tagging those who might be interested in this career path. Another video Affixxius can be proud of and one that hopefully has inspired many.
