Amanda Hunter, Head of Marketing and Communications at Rugby School:
I have no hesitation recommending Miles and his team. Commissioning a film, one that really feels like your school, that truly shows why you are different and that will engage your target audience, can be a daunting prospect.
What is different about Affixxius is their goal, is also your goal. They take time to really get to know your product and your aims. Their pitch ideas are bold, brave and exciting. They don’t ‘do’ ordinary. They consider how the film will work on many levels, how it will add value, its longevity.
The crew buzzes with enthusiasm on every visit and their attention to detail, to ensure every aspect is as good as it can be, to use the latest technology, results in a film of cinematic quality.
Marcus Blackburn, Assistant Headmaster at Hereford Cathedral School:
What I value highly in staff, in many settings, is energy, honesty, attention to detail and a commitment to high standards. The Affixxius Films crew showed these qualities every step of the process and helped us recognise and redefine who we actually are and what we are all about. I loved working on the project and with such a creative and committed team, and I look forward to the next one.
Victoria Evans, Marketing Manager & Alumni Relations Manager at Oswestry School:
Choosing a filmmaker to tell our school's story was a daunting prospect, but Miles (the Managing Director) encouraged us to be brave with our choices. The end result was a film that communicates the very essence our school and our pupils; a warmth and candidness that resonates throughout.
Our thanks go to the creative team who made the whole process simple and straightforward and who ensured everything ran to plan - thanks in particular to Dave Whayman who ended up becoming our voice-over artist (he was just the right fit)!
We have received so many positive responses from the film - everyone who watches it takes something different from it. We applaud everyone at Affixxius for the moment of magic that has been created.
Oli Adams, Director of Communications, Admissions & Development at Brentwood School:
I'm so glad I took the plunge to work with Affixxius. Compared to using a former student, or a friend who has a camera, it's a whole new experience. Miles came to meet with us and really got underneath the skin of the School. The team spoke to members of staff, parents, and the local community before coming up with three concepts for us to choose from. Throughout the process they were open, honest, friendly, knowledgeable, but laid back and didn't take themselves too seriously. During the filming you could tell the production team had a real passion for what they do and they enjoyed every minute. Once the film was ready we were invited to Loughborough to watch it in their cinema room, complete with popcorn of our choice! I'm looking forward to working with them again for Mark 2!
